Muslim faithful from all walks of life converged on Da’wah centre, Bamgbose street, Owode, Oyo today to observe salaatu ghayb on the “slain” democratically elected President of Egypt.
After the salat, Quran 33 verse 23 was read, and meaning rendered, reminding Muslims of the fact that ” among the believers are men (that are) true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow( to the death), and among them is he who awaits ( his chance). And they did not alter ( the terms of their commitment) by any alteration.”
Ustadh AbdulSalaam Otunba extolled Dr Morsi’s virtues which include high resolution to be firm in the face of the world despotic tyrants, discipline in terms of worship, spirituality, organization and planning.
AbdulSalaam however urged all Muslims to remain firm in their covenant to serve Allah through Islam and ensure their affairs are in tandem with the dictates of Islam to merit everlasting and enduring felicity.
Morsi’s death is one death; his cause is that of millions. We pray that Allah grant him the highest station in paradise and forgive his shortcomings.
