The true repentance Part 1

O you sinner! How long shall you remain on your devilish acts of sin which are not hidden from your great master when your expiry date on earth is fast approaching?! You carelessly move around on His earth to commit sins only to derive an ephemeral & a deceitful pleasure, with no regard to Him; meanwhile you continue feeding on His vast provisions. Aren’t you ashamed of yourself? How dare you still summon courage to fall into sin deliberately when the destruction of devil is still much fresh in your memory as a result of sinning? How secured are you then should He turn the entire earth against you? How safe are you should He make life as a whole miserable for you? You live as if you will not die. You behave as if you are made immortal. You obey and please the devil to disobey & displease Allah. What an ungrateful & wicked slave you are then? Remember that it was because of your forefather, Adam, that the devil disobeyed Allah. So you should disobey him & follow him not in his commands as he has done to Allah. He commands sinning & forbids doing goods to lure you and lead you to everlasting doom.

O you sinner! Wake up from your deep slumber! Shake off your lethargy and slothfulness. Know you fully well that it’s high time you repented from all forms of sins before the arrival of Ramadan. The time has come to turn a new leaf & purge your heart of wickedness and sins. This, of course, would help you fortify yourself from any bad and devilish whisperings when Ramadan begins. Only through this approach I swear by Allah would you enjoy the mysteries of obedience in Ramadan. Many of those who fail to repent truly before Ramadan would not be able to embark on meritorious deeds as much as expected. They will be those in the list of the unfortunate ones at the end of Ramadan. Just pause and think for a while.

The Qur’an says:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَّصُوحًا عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَن يُكَفِّرَ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَيُدْخِلَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا لْأَنْهَارُ ..
“O you who believe! Turn to Allah a sincere turning; maybe your Lord will remove from you your evil and cause you to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow…” Surah At-Tahrim; Chapter 66 verse 6.

My deep thought:
As no ceremony will ever take place that involves the presence of government top officials without security agencies being on patrol & the venue of the ceremony being under surveillance for many days before the event. A thorough and effective security approach and protection will be given to the place. This is to ensure that the place is completely safe and free of any internal attack. If this is true as I have said, then it’s more demanding and worthwhile that we protect ourselves, family members, likewise our homes from devilish attack (sinful acts) as Ramadan begins a few days to come.

A turning point:
Truly speaking, you need to begin your journey to the land of repentance now and the first step towards it is to confess to Allah your sins and repent to Him penitently. Don’t feel dejected thereby leading you to hopelessness nor too lazy to make a list of those sins now. Make a resolve to do away with them sincerely while crying intensely unto Allah for help for without His support, you will not achieve anything meaningful.

From the bottom of my heart:
O Allah! Here we are at Your door again as sinners with tears trickling from our cheeks, who know truly that we have greatly wronged our souls and none forgives sins except You. O Allah! Accept our repentance and admit us into Your mercy, O You the Most Merciful.
