The ongoing National Muslim Children Camping Programme, organized by The Young Muslim Association, Oyo-Ogbomoso Zone, witnesses a high turn-out of Muslim children as the event unfolds on 27th December, 2018.
The camping programme records a high population of young children up to age 14 to the tune of about 500. Speaking with our correspondent, the registration officers, Mr. AbdulGafar Akintola and Mrs. Ruqoyyah Adeniran made the declaration and revealed that this year’s population is far higher than previous experiences.
Also speaking in an interview session, Ustadh Qazeem Sanusi, the Oyo Zonal Coordinator of TYMa, highlighted the goals of TYMa, vis-à-vis; building future leaders and building a total child by inculcating moral, academic and spiritual soundness. He also noted that, the population growth being experienced in this edition of National MCCP had been preconceived and is not striking the organizers with much surprise. However, he dedicated the glory to Allah alone.
Ustadh Sanusi, in his speech, also noted the resoluteness of the stakeholders in organizing 1440 National MCCP with a difference. Although, he pointed to some challenges militating against the organization – which are, difficulty in getting a befitting and suitable venue for such children camp as well as financial restrictions.
Nevertheless, he disclosed the immediate vision of achieving a tangible capital project for TYMa through the ongoing camp and a long-term vision of having a standard Child Development Centre.
He said with utmost resoluteness, that the organizers of the camp are determined to achieve the set goals despite all the administrative bottlenecks.
