The Vice Chancellor of Fountain University Osogbo, Professor Amidu Olalekan Sanni has congratulated Muslims all over the world on the successful completion of the month-long Ramadan fast and the 2018 Eid-el-fitr celebrations.
In a press release personally signed by him and made available to press men in Osogbo today, Professor Sanni enjoined all Muslim faithful, especially students and staff of the University to extend the spiritual benefits of Ramadan, namely love peace, selfless service and God-consciousness to their daily living beyond the Ramadan period.
‘As we celebrate Eid-el-fitr, it is my fervent hope and prayer that the spiritual and social lessons derivable from Ramadan which find expression and meaning in piety, perseverance, self-discipline and love for others will be sustained through the period following this great exercise’.
The Vice Chancellor also enjoined the University community to use the occasion for the promotion of unity in order to actualize the dreams of making Fountain University the preferred institution in Nigeria.
‘The country deserves peace and unity, the binding principles of Ramadan, and all Nigerians have the duty to maintain this in as much as the institution of fasting is a universal one intended to make man be at peace with his Lord and fellow human beings,’ he concluded.
