Ramadan: FUO VC Congratulates Staff and Students, urges them to pray for the Varsity and be good ambassadors of Islam

The Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Professor Amidu Sanni has congratulated Muslim Faithful on the successful commencement of the annual Ramadan fast, urging them to shun vices that may vitiate their spiritual journey in this auspicious month.

In a press release made available to the press in Osogbo today, Professor Sanni reiterated the need to combine spiritual upliftment with academic excellence in order to make the products of the university the preferred choice of the labour markets and icons in the entrepreneurial space.
The Vice Chancellor also said that the focus of the new Management is to improve the local and international profile of the institution through improved teaching and research facilities, collaboration with foreign institutions and friendly learning and living environment for staff and students.
“The month of Ramadan is a unique period for self-evaluation, renewal of faith and commitment to sharing and caring within the larger society.
Once more, I congratulate the entire Muslim community and urge them to use the period of Ramadan to pray for the nation, especially in view of the daunting security challenges and as we also stand on the threshold of another round of elections in 2019.
